Revelation 4:9-11

"And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall before the one who is seated on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, singing,

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”

These verses are a contrast to the preceding ones in that they introduce no new imagery or symbolism into this chapter. Instead they testify to the incredible love and devotion these beings have for God and their incredible reverence for Him.

The imagery of the elders removing their crowns and throwing them before the throne of God demonstrates how humbled they are by the presence of God in all His glory and power, and their loyalty to Him and desire to submit to Him and to do His will alone. There doesn't seem to be a lot of consensus on what the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders represent; different authors that I read all had different theories about this.

Verse eleven is a beautiful prayer that one can repeat to honor God and show Him loyalty and devotion for the beauty and holiness of His creation; the cadence of it reminds me of one of the Psalms.
