Revelation 1: 17-18

^{17 "}When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. ¹⁸ I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades." 

One can only imagine the feeling John must have had at this point being confronted with all this overwhelming sound and imagery, but Christ is quick to comfort him and tell him not to be afraid.

Revelation 12:7-8

 ⁷ And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, ⁸ but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.

I found the timeline of this a bit confusing; it does appear that at the beginning the woman exists in some kind of astronomic frame with the symbols of the sun, moon and stars in the imagery, denoting outer space. The dragon's tail sweeps a third of the stars out of the sky; if this signifies all the angels that fought against God when Lucifer rebelled against Him this would suggest a tremendous amount of beings were banished to Hell by God for their rebellion.
