Revelation 3: 11-13

11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Here Jesus is encouraging his followers in the church of Philadelphia to cleave to their beliefs about Salvation and continue to repent and obey the laws of Christ so that they can keep what He implies are their already steadfast beliefs in God.

In verse twelve He promises the members of the church that if they stay loyal to their belief in his teachings he will make them a 'pillar in the temple of my God'. This verse made me think of Lot's wife turning to a pillar of salt, but in this sense the metaphor of being a pillar is a positive one, something that belongs so fully in God's temple that it is immovable and the person will never have again have to leave God's presence in heaven.

Also in this verse Jesus promises to write on the believers of the church at Philadelphia who are steadfast in their beliefs the name of His Father, God, Jesus's own new name, and the name of the New Jerusalem, which will be Jesus' kingdom on Earth

The reference to the "New Jerusalem" is talking about the Third Temple, where Jesus will rule from after the end times events have taken place. It is referenced in both the Old and New Testaments, and there is a lot of information about it given on its wikipedia page.

The most important part of this passage, though, is the very first sentence, in which Jesus says, 'I am coming soon'. I hope that everyone who reads this will take heed of His warning and accept Christ as your Savior by repenting of your sins, asking for Christ's forgiveness, and asking Christ into your life to be your Savior and guide you in how to grow closer to Him each day.

When we accept Christ as our Savior and continue to repent of our sins and follow His teachings, we know that we will be taken with Him as part of His church during the rapture; getting Saved is the most important thing we can do in our lives. I hope everyone will take this very important step and invite Christ into your life before it is too late.
